On July 18th, Meta made its new language model (LLM) Llama 2 public, a next-generation model that, unlike OpenAI's GPT-4, was launched under an open source license and with top-quality standards.

Two days after its launch, from our artificial intelligence research and development laboratory, Clibrain Labs, we offered an adaptation of this model in its 7B parameter version, making it efficient in following and fulfilling instructions in Spanish.

Once again, not even a month since Llama 2 came into the public light, we return with a new adaptation of Meta's most advanced language model to precisely adjust its 13B parameter version using parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) techniques, allowing it to understand and execute instructions in Spanish accurately and effectively. Let's remember that Llama 2 emerged under the auspices of 3 fundamental models: 7B, 13B, 70B.

At Clibrain, we have a strong commitment to the Spanish-speaking community. In addition to launching our own Spanish language model such as LINCE, with adaptations of existing state-of-the-art models like Llama 2, we want to reduce the gap that artificial intelligence in Spanish has compared to English.

To promote the knowledge and adoption of these state-of-the-art tools, we provide the public with three high-quality language models: LINCE Zero (7B version of LINCE), Llama 2 ES fine-tuning (7B), and Llama 2 ES fine-tuning (13B), all available for free download and use at hf.co/clibrain. We encourage you to explore the capabilities of these models and take advantage of their potential in both business and personal projects and objectives.
